As I ease myself back into the occasional post here, a mini-rant on Justin Trudeau at the NATO summit being caught on camera making fun of Donald Trump. Public Opinion may love this, but it’s just bad form from the person representing Canada on the world stage, and who’s brokering a deal with America right now.

We have a policy in Advertising: Never talk about the client, or business, when you’re in an elevator. Especially, in their building, or ours.

Even if you’re speaking the truth. You just never know who is listening.

The issue to me isn’t whether Justin was speaking the truth about Donald Trump. I suppose what bothers me is that after Trudeau’s own personal behaviour almost put the Conservatives in power, you’d think he’d conduct himself on a higher level now. I guess not.

So juvenile and amateur.

And for what? To impress Boris Johnson and a member of the Royal Family? I mean, WTF. Like they are such exemplary models of behaviour these days and you want them to think you’re cool. Good grief, man.

You’re clowning it up for The Brexit Guy and The ‘Make this Prince Andrew Problem Go Away’ Royal Family. What a time to be alive, folks. Your world leaders.

Anyhow, I’ll end this mini-rant by recalling what an old Creative Director of mine used to say: Politics start when A talks to C about B.

Also, clearly I have too much time on my hands this morning and need to focus on more important things. : )
